Jali Rukaa

This is one of my attempts to write Rukaa script in a large size and a semi geometric configuration, while it’s usually written with a pen smaller than 2 mm and in horizontal lines, it has the potential to be more, with some modification

Aladab

The script of Nastaliq is another favourite of mine, here in the Style of Mehmed Es’ad Yesârî, an Ottoman Calligrapher, roughly translates into “Manners are a treasure, and their use is perfection”, words interlock, and letters stack, and a stretch of the letter “sin” gives it a breath.

Rikaa Letters

Rikaa Letters
I started learning Rikaa around 2014, with my first attempts at Arabic Calligraphy, this script’s distinguishing feature is its utter simplicity and straightforwardness, perfect for a long passage or Arabic poetry, here I follow the first lesson of Ottoman Calligrapher Mehmed Izzet, one of the most important references for this script.
